bit of an update Cool
replaced Regulator, Stator and fitted an SE comp.
Comp is much quieter than the OEM, used clips and some shit I had in the shed to glue oiler tray onto primary cover, no issues to date.
one thing though, even after replacing the charging circuit, voltage gauge continued to spike and jump around madly.
got on the yank forum and one ol mate suggested changing out the wheel bearings. So today i changed the front wheel bearings and bang, no more spiking/jumpy gauge. apparently the ABS bearing flogs out in some way causing vibrations only the gauge can feel.
Anyways, its sorted, who'da thought. Twisted Evil

Anyways, big test was today, run to the airport up the freeway.
As stated, voltage gauge was rock steady.  Twisted Evil
